Cord strapping stands out for its exceptional high strength. It is among the strongest strapping materials available on the market. It is made of high-strength polyester yard fibers and is available in different sizes. Bonded cord strapping features hot melt glued fibers. Woven cord strapping features cross weave.
Cord Strapping Sizes
Cord strapping is available in different sizes and configurations.
1/2” Cord Strapping
1/2” cord strapping is available in a variety of sizes and construction for different applications. This includes the following:
- CS40B White Bonded Cord with break strength of 700 lb
- CS40W White Woven Cord with break strength of 700 lb
5/8” Cord Strapping
0.625” cord strapping is available with very high break strength of up to 1800 lb.
3/4” Cord Strapping
3/4” cord strapping is available in several configurations and break strengths. This includes:
- 65WLMD Orange Woven Cord Strapping: This strapping can pull up to 2400 lb
- 3/4″ x 2150′: This composite cord strapping has a break strength of 1350 lb
- 60B 3/4″ & 60W 3/4″: These cord straps can withstand up to 900 lb of tension
- 75WLMD 3/4”: This is white woven cord strap that has a break strength of up to 1640 lb
- 66WXL 3/4″: This yellow woven cord strap is designed for up to 1750 lb of tension
There are many more configurations within this size including 2025/ 2025-AAR (2700lb break strength), 2070 (2400lb), and CC65 Composite Strapping (1350lb).
1” Cord Strapping
1” cord straps offer higher break strength and durability. Some of the most commonly used configurations are as following:
- 2030 HD Woven Polyester Strapping with staggering break strength of 3100 lb
- CC85 Composite Cord Strapping with break strength of 2000 lb
- CC89 white finished composite strapping with 2700 lb break strength
1-1/4” Cord Strapping
1-1/4” cord strapping is a heavy-duty strap and is available in different options including:
- Woven cord straps with up to 3800 lb of break strength
- White woven cord strap with 4000 lb of break strength
- Orange cord strapping with up to 3285 lb of break strength
- Gator Lash 8030 & 8031 which is as strong as steel and has a break strength of 5100 lb
1-1/2” cord strapping is also available in different configurations with up to 5400 lb of break strength. 1-5/8” cord straps are also available with very high break strengths of up to 7700 lb. 1 5/8 inch Gator Lash 8050AAR and 8051AAR has even higher break strength of 11000 lb. The 2” cord Gator Lash 8071 offers some of the highest break strengths in the industry at 16500 lb.
